#OHSC2017 Conference Highlights and Wrap-up
The Knowledge Network for Student Well-Being sponsored the 2017 Ontario Healthy Schools Coalition Conference held April 4-5 in Toronto; the theme was Ontario’s Well-being Strategy for Education, and what it will mean for the province’s schools.
The Knowledge Network for Student Well-Being was supported by six partner organizations; the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, the Offord Centre for Child Studies at McMaster University, School Mental Health ASSIST, PREVnet, The Social Planning Network of Ontario, and the Ontario Health Schools Coalition.
Don Buchanan, a Knowledge Mobilization Officer and the Knowledge Network Facilitator with E-Best (Evidence-Based Education and Services Team with the HWDSB) presented the successful proposal for the Knowledge Network for Student Well-Being. It included details on developing successful networks, some current research in knowledge networks, and outlines the work the network will be doing over the next four years. Watch Don’s presentation.
