To celebrate International Book Giving Day AND Have a Heart Day on February 14, KNAER is doing a book giveaway on Twitter!

Spirit Bear and Children Make History!“Spirit Bear and Children Make History” is written by Cindy Blackstock and Eddy Robinson, and illustrated by Amanda Strong. In partnership with Cindy Blackstock and The First Nations Child & Family Caring Society, the Réseau de Savoir sur l’Équité | Equity Knowledge Network (RSEKN) hosted an event that celebrated the book launch. This book tells the story of how children stood up for the rights of First Nations children in Canada and can be a useful in helping educators teach about human rights issues that First Nations children face in Canada. Over the next few weeks, we will also share the educator’s guide in the Educational Resources section of our website for everyone to access.

  4. Winner will be randomly selected and announced on Twitter on Feb 14th after contest closes at 12 pm.
