Carol explains that an opportunity exists for (re)visioning Alberta’s approach to evidence-informed educational improvement. She sets out six components for developing a strategy and capacity for evidence use based on my experience in Ontario (Campbell 2014) for consideration and discussion.

  2. Conducting, accessing and applying research to support evidence-informed educational improvement
  3. Building individual and collective capacity to access, produce, understand and use evidence
  4. Fostering collaboration for research and evidence use through networking and partnerships
  5. Communicating and mobilizing knowledge about research and evidence-informed practices
  6. Contributing to the provincial, national and international evidence for and about educational improvement
